Dr Shiamala Nadesan Cancer Foundation’s annual meeting was held on Zoom today (19/11/2025). Dr Neville De Silva and Dr Niranjala De Silva presented the annual report, which is soon to be audited by an independent auditor. According to the final report, we have assisted 120 cancer patients nationwide and spent 1.7 million rupees. We thank the donors and well-wishers who have supported us from the beginning.

Items discussed :

1. Approval of appointment of an auditor for the Foundation:
   As the newly introduced lawyer ( in place of Mr. Madhava) intends to have the audited financial report of the Foundation (for the period from its inception, March 2023 to November 2025), there is a need to have an auditor appointed by the Foundation.

Dr. L. N. A. de Silva (Director) contacted Pethiyagoda Associates in this regard, and they requested to submit the minutes of the AGM in which their company was approved as auditors before undertaking the audit activities. Members in attendance granted approval.

2. Number of beneficiaries of the SNCWF:
   Yearly breakdown of the beneficiaries ( cancer patients ) are as follows:
   2023 = 13
   2024 = 25
   2025 = 72 ( as of 18.11.2025)
   Total = 120
   Total amount of funds donated= SLR 1,706,862/=
   M:F ratio= 40:80
