He is the son of Kasipillai Velauther and Vallipillai Velauther, sibling of Kanmani Nadarajah & Nadarajah, of the late Kandiah Velauther & Vigneswary Kandiah and Sinnamma Ganesharajah & Ganesharajah. Uncle to Tamilchelvan & Premila and Vasuki & Kandeepan Great Uncle to Thivyan.
Son in law of Sivasubramaniam Sinnar and Kanakgammah Subramaniam.
Husband of Dr(ret).Sathiyaledchumy Selvadurai, Father of Kishani Selvadurai.
Brother-in-law to the late Sootheswary Shanmuganathan & Shanmuganthan Gunaratnam. Uncle to Radhika & Senthesh, Sangeetha & Sumit and Lakshman & Rohini.
Brother-in-law to the late Parameswaran
Subramaniam and Dr. Sellanachi Subramaniam.
Great Uncle to Aryan, Shri, Devika and Raju.
